Freedom Powersports Decatur at 201 West Thompson Street, Decatur, Texas.

CAREFUL: I needed a Husqvarna 701 which a quick google search shows is only available at Freedom Powersports locally. Shows up that I can go to the Fort Worth dealership to get one so I ride the half hour there. They have no idea what Husqvarna is and call around to figure out that Decatur sells them. Big waste of time but whatever... its Freedom Powersports corporate being crappy here not a specific dealership so no biggie. Get to Decatur and trade my bike in for a Husky 701.
Everyone at the dealership is super friendly... really good people actually. Even let me "test ride" the bike back to my house to get a check for them. Bike ends up melting its own turn signal but that is on Husky, not a dealership problem. They offer to fix it immediately. Spend 2 hours waiting for someone to do paperwork (they only have one person at the shop to do this and I was low priority). I leave with the bike super happy.
One regret is signing up for their service plan. A dude sells tells you about it and it sounds awesome and free. You say "yeah that does sound great". Later you actually sign paperwork and it costs over 1000 dollars but after being ignored for hours you aren't interested in fine print... you just want to leave. I've been used to honest dealerships so didn't bother to read everything. The service plan I got screwed on is on me for assuming this dealership was honest. Didn't realize I had to scrutinize paperwork. Service plan is still my bad.
Where this really starts to upset me is when the rear break locks up on me on the highway and I skid to a stop. Your life is on this bike and this dealership sold me a death trap. Things happen. I get the bike home after being lucky not to have crashed and died. Inspect some more... I can turn the rear axle nut by hand, lucky the wheel didn't fall off. Shop calls me to deal with warranty issue of turn signal melting. I explain rear brake lockup and the other loose hardware. Shop blames husky corporate entirely and does not apologize.
I bring the bike in and explain issue and I'm upset. I WAS LAUGHED AT... THIS BIKE COULD HAVE KILLED ME. The dealership's official stance... "It's funny how brakes are... it's nice when they work but they shouldn't work when you don't want them to". THEY LAUGHED IN MY FACE AFTER TELLING THEM THEY SOLD ME A DANGEROUS BIKE. To top it off the bike has been there for over a week and a half for an oil change and a fix on the melting turn signal. It would take me about 1 hour to do what they are doing to the bike but because I trusted them and didn't read fine print I am screwed with their service plan.
Corporate called after my purchase, I explained things to them and they did not care at all. Don’t buy anything from Freedom Powersports (any location) unless you have no other options.
